Special Meal Delivery for Carmen
September 7, 2023Jim Oswald

We had the most heartwarming experience at Meals on Wheels San Francisco! Carmen, who is 84 years young and has been receiving meals from us since 2020, received her meal delivery on September 7th from none other than San Francisco Police Chief William “Bill” Scott!

Talk about going above and beyond for our community! We are absolutely thrilled to have such amazing partnerships with our city leaders! It’s moments like these that truly remind us of the kindness and compassion that exists in our community.

Carmen was over the moon with joy as Chief Scott and fellow police officer, Alberto Duarte, arrived with her delicious meals and visit. The smile on her face was priceless, and it warmed our hearts to see such a beautiful connection being made.

We want to take a moment to thank Chief Scott for taking the time out of his busy schedule to make this visit and delivery, for leading by example, and for showing us the power of community spirit.
