Client Wish List
Some of the seniors we serve are missing the basics that make our meals work for them. A client without a refrigerator cannot safely store the fresh meals we deliver. A client without a microwave cannot easily reheat them. We receive requests for these essential items every week, and our Wish List lets you fulfill one directly.
How it works. Visit our Amazon Wish List, purchase an item, and it ships straight to us. Our team delivers it to a client on our program who has requested it. Every item on the list reflects a real, standing request from a senior we serve.
We are starting with microwaves and refrigerators because they help our clients get the most from every meal we deliver. As the Wish List grows, we hope to add more of the items our clients ask for, including kitchen appliances and home safety equipment such as shower chairs and grab bars.
Please purchase from the Wish List only. We are unable to accept in-kind donations of items not featured on the Wish List. Our storage space is limited, and items outside the list cannot be delivered to clients. Purchasing directly from the list ensures your gift reaches a senior who needs it.

Employer Matching and Workplace Giving
Thousands of companies match the charitable donations their employees make. It is an easy way to double your contribution to us, and many companies also match volunteer hours with corporate cash contributions.
Find out if your employer matches. Search our matching gift database to see if your company participates and to access your employer’s forms and guidelines.
Submitting your match is easy. Complete your section of the matching gift form provided by your employer and send it to us. We will handle the rest. If you have already made your donation, you can still send the completed form and we will verify it directly with your employer.

Payroll deductions. You can also give through automatic payroll deductions at your workplace, either as a one-time gift or an ongoing contribution. Check with your employer to learn how to set up payroll giving.

Give Stock
Making a gift of securities is easy and offers a number of financial benefits.
- Appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds can all be donated.
- The total value of the stock upon transfer is tax-deductible.
- You pay no capital gains taxes on the appreciation.

Tribute and Memorial Gifts
Your contribution can be made in memory of a loved one or in honor of a birthday, special occasion, or speedy recovery. We will notify the honoree or their family of your thoughtful gift.
Donate a Vehicle
Turn your used wheels into meals. We use the proceeds from the sale of your car, truck, RV, or boat to address senior isolation and hunger. Donating your unwanted vehicle is easier than selling it, and vehicle donations to MOWSF are tax-deductible.
We partner with CARS, Inc. (Charitable Adult Rides and Services), which accepts nearly all types of donated vehicles, running or not, including cars, trucks, trailers, boats, RVs, motorcycles, campers, off-road vehicles, planes, heavy equipment, and farm machinery. Towing is free.

Donate Goods
Bring your gently used items to Community Thrift at 623 Valencia Street in the Mission and allocate your goods to MOWSF (#131). Community Thrift sells your goods and gives a hearty portion of the sales to us. It is the easiest and quickest way to turn unwanted possessions into critical services for homebound seniors.
