This past week, we had a special group of volunteers roll into the MOWSF offices. Six members of the Young Philanthropists, a community service organization, came in to make greeting cards for our clients. The group began pedaling their way across the U.S. on January 4th in Jacksonville, Florida. Their cross-country ride aims to raise awareness and funds for Casa de Luz, a non-profit benefiting children in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

We are so thrilled they took the time to do something special for seniors in San Francisco, and wish them the best of luck!

The Young Philanthropists will end their journey on May 24th in Seattle, Washington. You can follow the final days of their journey on their Facebook page, www.facebook.com/TheYoungPhilanthropists.

If you have a group that would be interested in making cards for seniors, please contact Danie Belfield, Manager of Volunteer Engagement, at dbelfield@mowsf.org.
