Yesterday, SF Chefs festival, taking place this week in and around Union Square, gave an extra special gift to MOWSF clients — three giant pigs! The California Pork Producers Association, a sponsor of this year’s event, provided the three swine.
Kent Schoberle of local butchery 4505 Meats came down to MOWSF headquarters and donated his expertise. The three pigs will contribute about 250 pounds of meat to meals for seniors.
Anne Quaintance, MOWSF Chief Operations Officer, was excited about the donation. “As a beneficiary of the SF Chefs festival, we are thrilled to receive this pork donation from The National Pork Board through their partnership California Pork Producers Association. This opportunity also opens the doors for a new partnership with 4505 Meats, a local San Francisco butchery. We want to thank them for donating their services and making it possible to provide a high-quality product for the wholesome meals we deliver to our clients.”
This Sunday, Aug. 4, SF Chefs festival will donate 5% of ticket sales from Sunday Day: Brunch by the Bay to MOWSF.
As part of the SF Chefs festival, this Sunday brunch features trend-setting chefs, winemakers, brewers and mixologists creating their favorite brunch delights, from delicate pastries to devilish Bloody Marys.
