Nourishing the Whole Person
Since 1970, MOWSF has been providing home-delivered meals to seniors who are unable to purchase or prepare their own. But our services don’t stop at meal delivery. Our network of drivers, social workers, nutritionists, community partners, volunteers, donors and advocates are a formidable force against senior neglect and malnutrition, providing companionship, safety checks, and other vital services.

We prepare and deliver two meals per day, seven days a week, city-wide, and offer low sodium, diabetic, and mechanically softened meals where needed. Our professional drivers also perform daily safety checks and offer companionship with a friendly smile when they come to the door.
Proper nutrition is essential for the health, self-sufficiency, and well-being of older adults. We provide over 1,800 hours of nutrition counseling sessions to clients each year.
We assess and assist with the social needs of all our clients. Social workers conduct regular visits and consult with the drivers who see clients daily. For clients in need, case managers provide referrals, assist with crises and provide ongoing monitoring.
More than 1,000 volunteers support our program by grocery shopping for clients, providing friendly visits, running errands for seniors, assisting with special events, and much more.
We provide clients with essential safety items and assist clients with projects to make their homes safer. For clients with limited resources, we provide microwaves, bath mats, and other small household items. Volunteers can also help by changing light bulbs, installing grab bars in showers, and more.
