Make a Tribute Gift
Your contribution to MOWSF can be made in memory of a loved one or in honor of a birthday, special occasion, or speedy recovery. With a tribute gift, you touch the hearts of people you love and improve the life of a senior because of your support. You can make a tribute gift online. You will receive an acknowledgment of your gift, and, if you wish, we can also send an acknowledgment of your gift to a person whom you designate.
Donate Your Old Car
You can donate your used car, van, truck, or recreational vehicle to Meals on Wheels San Francisco. Donating your unwanted vehicle is easier than selling it, and vehicle donations made to MOWSF are tax-deductible.
All vehicles regardless of age and condition are accepted!
MOWSF partners with Car Donation Services to turn your old wheels into meals for homebound seniors in San Francisco. Simply call 1-888-686-4483 or donate online at www.cardonationservices.com, and designate Meals on Wheels San Francisco as your car donation beneficiary. Proceeds from the sale of your vehicle will be directed to us.
Purge Your Closet at Community Thrift
Drop your unwanted treasures off at Community Thrift (623 Valencia St. in the Mission) and allocate your goods to MOWSF (#131). Community Thrift will sell your goods and give a hearty portion of the sales to us. This is the easiest and quickest way to turn your unwanted possessions into critical services for homebound seniors!
Shop at Your Favorite Stores with eScrip
Shop online, buy groceries, or dine out to make a difference! eScrip rewards customer loyalty by contributing a percentage of purchases from more than 6,000 participating merchants to schools and nonprofits. You can register your grocery club cards and existing credit/debit cards or shop at major online vendors and a percentage of all purchases will be given back to Meals on Wheels San Francisco. Local vendors include Mollie Stone’s, Bristol Farms, and many more. Visit www.escrip.com for more information.
Turn Old Transit Tickets into Meals with Tiny Tickets
Through BART and the East Bay Community Foundation’s Tiny Tickets campaign, you can donate the unused portion of your BART tickets to MOWSF. Think of all those BART tickets, often discarded or left in pockets or drawers, that have tiny bits of value left on them – a nickel, a dime, or more in some cases – that could be turned into cash. These little bits of value could be consolidated, refunded, or exchanged by BART, but the majority of such tickets are left unused. Through the Tiny Tickets Program, you can convert these leftover tickets into support for homebound seniors in San Francisco. Just send your leftover BART tickets directly to us:
