Looking for Last-Minute Gala Volunteers

28th Annual Star Chefs & Vintners GalaHelp! We’ve had some last-minute cancellations. We need some volunteers for this Sunday, April 19, at the 28th Annual Star Chefs & Vintners Gala. The Gala, located at Fort Mason Center’s Festival Pavilion, brings out the finest in Northern California’s food and wine community.

It is a SUPER fun event and it helps raise millions to help provide nutrition and supportive services to San Francisco seniors. What could be better than that?

We are looking for volunteers for three shifts:


    Chef-Load-In-andTurn-AssistantsVolunteer shift: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    Job Description:    Assist Reception, Dessert and Dinner Chefs with cleaning and setting up their displays and transporting supplies to the designated areas. This volunteer role helps us to provide good customer service to chefs volunteering at the Gala!

    Volunteer shift: 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
    Job Description:          This is a “Hurry up and Wait” position where you will be asked to help where needed at the event. When free from a task, report to your captain for a new assignment.

    Gala VolunteersVolunteer shift: 6:30 11 p.m.
    Job Description:      Help silent auction volunteers with packaging up auction items and moving items to retrieval room. Organize Item Retrieval Room by lot #. Retrieve auction items for Runners. Auction Closing: 6:15 pm. Auction Check-Out: 9:00pm – 11:00pm.
