MOWSF Is a Local Organization Supporting Local Seniors
Meals On Wheels of San Francisco is committed to the belief that all seniors have the right to live independently, with dignity and respect, in their homes for as long as it is safely possible. It is our mission to provide isolated homebound seniors in San Francisco with nutritious meals, daily human contact, and supportive services to prevent their premature institutionalization.
Our Story
MOWSF began as a grassroots movement with a small group of community members caring for their elderly neighbors, preparing meals in neighborhood kitchens and delivering them to those in need.
Our People
The people of MOWSF make it possible to fulfill our mission to end hunger among our city’s most vulnerable population. Meet the Board and staff who lead our community in caring for over 2,800 homebound seniors.
Partners & Supporters
The corporations and foundations that support MOWSF play an essential part in the success of our programs and services. Their commitment to community service and philanthropy includes volunteerism, fundraising, and donations.
