Neighboring Chefs — Staffan Terje & Ron Siegel Cook for Eight in your Home

Executive Chef Ron Siegel of MICHAEL MINA and Staffan Terje, acclaimed chef and owner of Perbacco, will venture out from their neighborhood to yours for an evening that’s sure to delight eight guests. These neighboring star chefs meet almost every day in the alley behind their restaurants to pick one another’s brains, discuss what’s in season, and share ideas about new dishes. On this night, the chefs will come to your home and collaborate to create a special menu for you. Built around five common, seasonal ingredients, the dinner format will provide the opportunity for each chef to present you and your guests with their interpretation of each ingredient. Each course of this dinner will be paired with phenomenal French and Italian wines. Some highlights include 2009 Remoissenet Corton Charlemagne, 1995 Masseto, 1995 Monbousquet, 1999 Masseto, 2000 Pape Clement, 1995 Solaia and 1995 Pontet-Canet. Best of San Francisco in Maui — Nancy Oakes, Gary Danko & Rajat Parr — Full Access Passes to Kapalua Food and Wine Festival — June 6 — 9, 2013

Kapalua has one of the best beaches in the world — and in June, 2013 it’s where you’ll delight in the best of food and wine, too! Two guests will spend four nights in the luxurious resort accommodations of The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua. With two full event passes to the Kapalua Food & Wine Festival, you’ll enjoy access to the exclusive Welcome Reception on Thursday night, the Grand Tasting on Friday night and the Seafood Festival on Sunday night. All of these events are held oceanside in the most beautiful venues Maui has to offer.

During the day, you can opt to lounge by the pool or the beach or choose to attend any and all of the seminars, featuring such wine greats as Philippe Melka, Andy Erickson, Gary Pisoni, Geoff Labitzke, David Long, Rajat Parr and many others. There are also amazing cooking demonstration lunches featuring celebrated San Francisco chefs Gary Danko and Gala Chef Chair Nancy Oakes of Boulevard. You will also join Nancy Oakes, Gary Danko and Rajat Parr at a special wine dinner on Saturday night at Pineapple Grill. At this dinner, you will be treated to a behind the scenes kitchen tour, and an amazing dinner with wine pairings.

When you get home to the mainland, remember your Maui experience with special dinners at Boulevard, Gary Danko, RN74, signed cookbooks and an assorted six-pack of single vineyard Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs from Rajat Parr’s Sandhi Wines. Mahalo, Maui!

Discover Dana Estates — a Special Weekend for Six

Dana Estates crafts wines that the winemakers hope reflect the generosity of their special, historic land — and the cult status achieved by their wines is a good indication that they are succeeding. Six guests will enjoy two nights in the calm and beauty of Dana Estates’ Helms Vineyard guest house in Rutherford. On the first night, you’ll duck up the road to Yountville for dinner at acclaimed chef Richard Reddington’s REDD. On Saturday afternoon, you’ll amble along on a private tour of the fabulous Dana Estates winery, designed by Howard Backen, followed by a stroll through the Lee Family gardens to pick fresh seasonal vegetables and herbs. Then, a private, hands-on cooking class with Chef Daniel Ha will teach you to make traditional dishes from Vietnam and Korea. Your culinary creations will be paired with exquisite Dana Estates wines as well as wines from the Lees’ private cellar to make for a delightful afternoon dining experience. Your kitchen will bustle like never before as Melissa Perello of Michelin-starred Frances, Nicole Krasinski of culinary hot-spot State Bird Provisions, and Michelle Polzine of the upcoming 20th Century Cafe (formerly of Range) cook up a delicious menu to tantalize your taste buds. This wouldn’t be the dinner party of your dreams, of course, without some great wines — luckily, you’ll be drinking vintages from some of California’s most notable women winemakers, including a magnum of 2012 Phifer Pavitt DATE NIGHT Sauvignon Blanc from Suzanne Phifer, 2011 La Sirena Musacto Azul by Heidi Barrett, a magnum of Rarecat Old Toll Hillside Estate Cabernet Sauvignon by Sharron Harris, and 2006 Corison Kronos Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon by Cathy Corison. Harvest Holiday in Splendid España — Trip of a Lifetime to Spain with Gerald Hirigoyen, Sylvain Portay, Laurent Manrique and Emmanuel Kemiji

A once-in-a-lifetime epicurean adventure awaits six guests at the Clos Pissarra vineyard, in Spain’s Priorat region, 60 miles southwest of Barcelona. Your hosts and tour guides for this very special trip will be the vineyard founders: celebrity chefs Gerald Hirigoyen of bocadillos and Piperade, Sylvain Portay of Alain Ducasse, and Laurent Manrique of New York’s Millesime, Café de la Presse, Blanc & Rouge and soon to be wine bar Aquitaine, and Master Sommelier and proprietor of Miura Vineyards, Emmanuel Kemiji. Your trip will begin with a night’s stay in Barcelona and dinner with all your hosts at a restaurant (or restaurants) of their choosing. In the morning, travel to the famed La Boqueria market with your hosts to choose all the ingredients for your meals over the next three days. After your trip to La Boqueria, your group will travel to Clos Pissarra and spend three nights with your hosts at Mas dels Frares, a former Cistercian monastery founded in the fifteenth century, and extending over 250 acres with broad views of the rolling valleys of Priorat. Head to the rugged and beautiful landscape of Sonoma wine country, where six guests will enjoy a wine country experience that is the perfect marriage of rustic and refinement. Join Andy Peay on the beautiful, wild ridge above the Sonoma coast that is home to the family-run Peay Vineyards. Andy will lead you on a private walking tour of the vineyard — or if rigorous outdoor adventure is what you’re craving, you can bring along your bikes and see even more of the ridge up close! After your initial taste of this special locale, settle in on the porch of the Vineyard’s barn house for local cheeses and outstanding wines made from these soils. Last year, Meals On Wheels of San Francisco raised a record $485,000 during Fund-A-Route at the Live Auction. This support enabled us to provide nearly 100,000 meals to seniors needing of nutritious meals and supportive care. You can help us achieve our 2013 goal of raising $495,000 by supporting Fund-A-Route at one of the levels provided. If everyone at the Gala raises their paddle during Fund-A-Route, we will make a significant impact on relieving hunger for the seniors in our community.
